What is a Pediatric Dentist

Pediatric dentists are the pediatricians of dentistry.  We are a specialty within dentistry trained for the unique dental needs of children from birth through adolescence.  Beyond the dental degree, our professional education includes completing a two year residency program.  Both doctors are board-certified pediatric dentists.  https://www.abpd.org  Our advanced specialized training included:

  • child psychology
  • oral-facial trauma management
  • treatment of patients with special needs and medically compromising conditions
  • treatment utilizing sedation/general anesthesia in office with an anesthesiologist

About our doctors

Dr. Mischelle Doll completed her undergraduate studies at The University of Colorado earning her bachelors degree in Pharmacy.  She earned her doctorate degree in Dentistry at the University of Colorado School of Dental Medicine graduating with distinction and honors in pediatric dentistry and receiving the Averbach Humanitarian Award.  Dr. Doll then completed her specialty residency at The Children’s Hospital in Denver.  She is A Board Certified pediatric dentist with the American Board of Pediatric Dentists.

Dr. Matt Whitesides Completed his undergraduate studies at The University of Colorado at Denver and attended Dental School at the University of Colorado School of Dental Medicine.  He attended the NYU Lutheran Pediatric Residency Program in Yakima, Washington. Dr. Whitesides served as the Chief Resident his last year of residency. In addition, Dr. Whitesides also completed a one-year fellowship with the Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental and Related Disabilities (LEND) with the University of Washington.  He is A Board Certified pediatric dentist with the American Board of Pediatric Dentists.
